Just wanted to say hi to all my kind friends on here.

Quick story:

Most of you know I'm a teacher and my boss is a long time Head, well, he had our end of the year party at his house last night. I brought my guitars and played all kinds of Dead tunes with my friends. Towards the end of the night, his youngest son (3) came out of the movie room with his mini blue guitar. He sat down next to me on the couch and started strummin, he LOVES DEAL -- just the chorus. It was amazing, he is three and was really into it, I looked up and there was the whole party watching him jam with me. All the tunes lead back to Deal. He kept on saying, "Jeremy, Jeremy, don't ya let that deal go down (which he does 100 times a day to me in school).

Rubin > Deal
Scarlet > Deal
Fire > Deal
Franklin's > Deal

He finally passed out around 10, then mom, dad and I enjoyed disk 1 of "Don't Let Go" over some old stories.

What an awesome night.

I am now going into the studio this week to record a new cd for the community event i am organizing in my home town on July 8th (you're all invited). For my new song, "Love Moves The World" I will have 7 of my first grade students speaking in 7 different languages on the cd (about love), along with three middle school girls singing the chorus with me. It's gonna be cool. I'll post the songs for you soon.

Check out our site if ya get a chance:

Have an awesome weekend! Please wish me the best in the studio this week, it's always hard work with time constraints/deadlines.

Listening to Willie Nelson -- 2.26.75 -- Thanks Wineland.

Morning to you stilldead77. Its a fine afternoon here in london and I was just catching up on the forum before going out to paint the window sills and frames and your post gave me just the lift I needed to get out there. It sounds like a very cool time was had by all. Is your real name Jeremy? Good luck with the cd...sounds tasty...look forward to hearing.

Nice to hear some sunshiny news from your parts. Yes, my name is Jeremy. Have fun with the house.

Is this your first post? I can't recall seeing you name before. And names are a tight topic on here these days. If it is, Welcome Aboard. Please disregard the few posts you see here above and below. Some of us on here played on rival sports teams for a few years -- nothing personal.

Whoops, i just clicked your name to see that you have been active on here for a year -- please excuse me.

Cheers.

Well thats the painting done...
No worries Jer...actually I'm glad I haven't shown up on your radar cos I try to keep a low profile. I'm not as eloquent or knowledgeable as you guys but I'm a long time Dead fan and I enjoy reading the posts, which can be informative, creative, imaginative, generous, humourous and downright poetic at the best of times. Regarding the posts above and below, in any community, there are bound to be disagreements. We're all human, nobody's perfect, we all have issues, whether they're emotional, mental or spiritual and this is a safe place to explore them and maybe get some insight, either from the music or from the forum.

And this is a prime example of just exactly how "not eloquent" Jerrob is...

Greetings from Arizona Jerrob and Jeremy and all! Good to see the positive vibrations still here! Was all in all a pleasant week here until yesterday... Go figger...

:)

hey cush: that's "so" not eloquent...haven't you learned anything cool from your step-daughter (?) and if you think your dogs are so smart, my border collie knows me better than myself (could be that only proves how stupid i am) and Ted Nugent once said he had a 3 legged irish setter that could play guitar better than Eric Clapton (never did believe Ted played half of those solos)

Jerrob: i hope you post more often...your writing challenges my preconceptions of the universe

stilldead: thanks for the gesture of good faith

and to everyone that cares:
"don't let it bring you down, it's only castles burning,
just find someone who's turning, and you will come around"

That was meant as a compliment midnight, Jerrob is actually very eloquent, in my humble opinion and I wish he would post more often myself!

Not even going to try to compete with Border Collies...Everyone knows they're smarter than most Dolphins, which everyone knows are smarter than most humans! Especially me!!! Our dogs? Buddha is just a very sensible and mellow fellow, and Daisy is only 6 1/2 months old... Hard to keep in perspective because she is so big, but still just a baby and very eager to please...

Learned anything from the kid (sort of step daughter I guess)? Mmmm, a marginal appreciation for Tupac and one or two other hip hoppers, and her, a marginal appreciation for Pigpen from me! We do get along well though...

Hope to see you for 6/9/77 Grok tonight, and looking forward to Summer Solstice shows from your neck of the woods...

not exactly my neck of the woods, but more or less of the same latitude...beautiful, nearly cloudless day here and temps up to +60 deg F for a change

Thank you midnight... i wasn't exactly sure if I was being "flamed" or not, didn't think so, but things have (LOL) been known to turn weird here pretty quickly... If you hadn't noticed...

We just had some nice balmy low/mid 90's here, creeping back up toward 107 or so the next few days though... Gotta get the a/c in the car fixed before we all melt!!!

;)

nice to hear that somebody has a smile of their face considering all the bad vibes and verbal vitriol that apears to be pervading the forum this morning.

i'll second the smile that you are passing on and hope it reach down the chain :)

I think it's, "Break A String Man."
